Sunway University is ranked as Top Universities in Malaysia as well as in the world?

Sunway University is one of the top private universities established in 2004. The institution does have a multicultural and diverse student body. There are 6 departments of the university offering undergraduate and graduate programs.

Programs offered at Sunway University are recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and approved by the Ministry of Education. Sunway, being a young institution has made its mark among the most reputed universities in the world and Asia. In the QS World University Rankings, it is among the top 2% universities in the world and the top 1.5% in Asia by being ranked in the top 150 universities in the world that are aged less than 50 years (Das, 2021). Remarkably, Sunway University has accomplished a generally 5-star rating within the QS Stars Rating.

According to College Dunia, the latest ranking of Sunway Universities in the QS Top Universities are given in the table below: 

  • Ranked 701-750th in the QS World University Rankings 2021 and ranked 651-700th in 2022.
  • One of the top 150 young universities in the world 2021.
  • Among the top 1.5% institutions in QS Asian University Rankings 2021.
  • Achieved an overall 5-star rating in QS Stars University Rankings 2021.
